The community of Barstow is mourning the death of someone who epitomized the definition of a public servant.
Tim Heiden, known for his giving heart, dies Tuesday. He was 61.
Heiden deeply loved his Green Bay Packers, but not as much as his wife Lynna Kay, three daughters — Laurel, Stacia, and Ashley — and grandchildren.
His family, however, is much larger than those who are blood-related.
Known by many as “Mr. Barstow,” he was the founder of the Barstow Police Activities League’s annual Christmas Cops and Kids toy drive that has provided countless smiles for children during the holidays.
